In The Voice Of Silence!

I had a voice in my silence to talk to you,
But you never heard;
As did I had tête-à-têtes with you,
That were never listened.

And here I am, now with greying hair;
Listening your confession, yet I lost my hair.

This novella powerfully shows the then prevalent societal customs in Bengal in the early 1900s, which were responsible for preventing the happy ending of a sincere love story.
